Now a day the big cities have become the centre of all attraction. People from rural areas and small towns are coming to settle in cities in a very large number. So, life in a big city today has become an everlasting war in different battlefields. Here a city inhabitant has to fight everyday against fatigue, thirst, dwindling stocks and dishonest shopkeepers. The city air is polluted with smokes from factories and vehicles. City people mainly depend on municipal water supply, which comes in definite times in a day. So, if any problem arises in water supply, people do not get a drop of water. Again, the sounds of vehicles produce such noise, which is very unhealthy ans unpleasant to tolerate.
Most of the people in big cities have to depend upon local trains and buses to reach at their working places. The trains and bushes are so rush that people struggle to get inside. During admission of children in schools and colleges, the city residents face lots of problems. Getting a seat in a good English medium school in a city is the most difficult task. If their children excel in interviews, then things are easier; otherwise they have to pay heavy donation for admission. The city traffic is also a major problem for the people. Jam roads, speed running vehicles and wrong overtaking create lots of tensions. Hence some people mummer “Devil made the city and God made the towns”.
