The problem we are facing today with violence in the schools is a major concern with communities everywhere. Over the past several years, an epidemic of school violence has overtaken our nation. Juvenile crimes have become very common today as it was before. Crime in and around schools is threatening the well being of students, as well as the staff and surrounding communities. It also affects the learning and achievements of students. It is said that uniforms help to keep more peace in the school. But making of fun, or laughing at other students, teasing, threatening and beating have become very common in the schools. More serious violent crimes, such as sexual harassment, physical attack and murder with a weapon are also parts of the school violence. The school administration should adopt a zero tolerance strategy or something very similar to all these. When the staff and students arrive at school, they should feel safe and secure. Student who does anything suspicious must be pulled out from the holy temple of learning. Large, overcrowded schools and classrooms result in more school violence. The teachers are deprived from having a meaningful relationship with students. Again, overcrowding increases the risk for vandalism and discipline problems.
