The students who always sit at the last row in the class are called the back benchers. They make a group of their own and prefer to sit at the back. They sit in the class but are not a part of the class. They like to be the back benchers in order to escape from the direct vision of the teachers. When the teachers teach they play games and when the teachers write on the blackboard they talk. When they are asked to solve the questions or to write class works, they remain busy in drawing pictures or playing games in notebooks. They usually do not show their copies to the teachers. They judge the teacher and act accordingly. When the teachers ask them questions, they stand up sheepishly or act as if they have not heard the question. Hence, teachers should keep strict eyes on the backbenchers
