It thus focuses on the cultivation of skills, trades or profession as well as mental, moral and aesthetic development. Education is necessary for moving ahead in life. The relevance of education in today’s world is well appreciated by one and all. It is education that makes a man rational, sharpens his thoughts and ideas, and guides his actions. Hence it has significant contribution towards overall development of one’s personality. Only through education the modern man has reached the pinnacle of success accomplishment, achievements and progress. Education and development go side by side. The literacy rate is one of the most important development indicator. Education empowers us with knowledge and information which show us the path of peace, progress and prosperity. In our present system of education there is a mad race towards materialistic proliferation. The value based education has been pushed to the back bench. Hence, it is high time that value added education need to be imparted in our schools and colleges.
