Dear Children,

Politeness is one of the greatest virtues to acquire.  It is better than wealth, beauty or talent and is highly indispensable in every walk of life. It is a dignified quality that softens the bumps in life and is badly needed for success. It is a constructive factor and a disciplinary force on which your efficiency and success depend. Politeness is like an air-cushion filled with nothing in it, but providing special comfort. It is the flower of humanity, which penetrates its fragrance to the heart of even a cruel and wicked person. It is the best and most advanced weapon by which you can win anything in any sphere.

Little Masters, politeness is the art of showing the internal regards which you have for others. It is your sincere feeling that comes from your heart. It gives greater pleasure than statues and pictures and provides fame. By showing politeness you can reap friends. To go about with a smile on face, to speak in low gentle tone, to be kind enough to help others, to be thoughtful about the needs of others and to be humble - all are the great qualities of a polite person. A polite person is welcomed everywhere as a man of noble character.  Every one admires a polite person because he is respectful, kind and considerate. Remember man is the most beautiful creation of God, and there is no other cosmetic to make man more pleasing and attractive than politeness. History, our chief source of knowledge of the past, shows how many people have reached at the highest platform of success and glory by dint of their pleasing and polite behaviour.

Bright Stars, your success in life depends as much as on politeness as on talent and hard-work. Now the lack of politeness has become the chief problem in every one’s family as well as in our society. Rudeness poisons the stream of life whereas politeness enlightens the dark path of life. The noble character of Mahatma Gandhi- father of our nation, teaches us that politeness can reach the heart of the wild, converting him to an ideal human from an uncivilized beast. So, you all must cultivate this great quality from your childhood.
