A PICNIC PARTY

A picnic is a social event full of fun, pleasure and entertainment.  It is not only a get-together of families or friends but at the same time a time for relaxation and merrymaking. On  25th of December 2008 , my father and some of his friends arranged a picnic party. The venue chosen for the party was Kapilas. The place was chosen because it is a nice place famous for the temple of Lord Shiva on the top of a hill surrounded by natural beauties. We reserved a Tata Sumo and started our journey at 8 AM from Cuttack.  We reached at Kapilas at 10:30 AM.  The temple of Lord Kapileswar on the hill top, full of natural beauties with large number of trees and other plants is really very amusing.  After getting the blessing of  lord Kapileswar, we  took the carpets, the tape recorder, carom board, badminton and snacks and searched for a suitable place to sit and cook our food. We went to the hill top.   Just at 1:30 PM, we came back and  took our lunch.  Then we went to see the Mahima Gadi at Joranda. It is famous for Mahima cult. We saw that sacred place and returned back to Cuttack in the evening. We had a wonderful picnic party.
