Kashmir is the nicest place I have seen. I, my brother and our parents visited Kashmir last summer in the month of May. We reached Jammu by train and in the Kashmir valley by bus. The moment I crossed the boundary of the valley, I was just surprised by seeing its charming beauty. I felt as that was a paradise on earth. I thought it is justified to call the place as ‘Switzerland of India’. Kashmir is situated at the foot-hills of the mighty Himalayas. It is the home of many beautiful flora and fauna. There are many historical monuments, picturesque spots, enchanting landscapes and green forests. Kashmir is also a land of temples and taverns. Its winding rivers, huge lakes, mighty waterfalls, snow falls and snow-clad mountains and long cypress tree lines have made this place, the nicest place. The Chandanwari, Anantanag, Amarnath, Shalimar Gardens, Dal Lake are places for every visitors to see. The scene of Dal Lake with house boats and travelling in the boat is most delightful. Amarnath, where the temple of Lord Shiva is situated at a height of 15,000 feet is really a heaven on earth. The hill stations like Pahalgam, Gulmarg, and Sonmarg are very fascinating. In sort, the whole Kashmir Valley is an embodiment of the beauty of Nature.
