KISHORE KUMAR

The Indian Film Industry claims its own importance all over the world of entertainment and spreading special philosophy as well as grave-based messages through its specialties in Acting, Song and Music. In the limitless acres of its sky of artists, there are uncountable dazzling stars. But out of them certain unforgettable legends are there, who have created their own identity which will remain unbeatable forever. One among them is the name of Kishore Kumar - the Unforgettable, the Incompa- rable -the one and the only one.

Kishore Kumar was a multi-talented personality. He was a master of any sort of song like Comic, Tragic or Romantic. It was the speciality of his magical voice, which was shaping the songs into the deep sense of reality. Almost all the songs of Kishore Kumar were special, yet comic numbers like ‘Mein Hoon Jhumroo”, “Jindegi Ek Safar” or tragic songs like “Mere Naina Sawan Vadon”, “O, Sathire”, “Chingari Koi Vadke” or romantic  ones like “Pal Pal Dil ke Paas”, “Juli..... I Love you”, “Mere Sapno ke rani” and many more are the Master Pieces. Mohd. Rafi, Mukesh and Kishore Kumar were the three central pillars of the then Indian film music. But it was Kishore Kumar simply, who was specially special among them, though he had no classical background in music.

Kishore Kumar was born on 4th October 1929, at Khandwa, a small town in Madhya Pradesh. Song, Music, Dance, Humour and Acting were his inborn qualities. As his elder brother Ashok Kumar was already established in Hindi Film Industry, Kishore Kumar could get an easy entry to the same. Basically he started his career as an Actor, but real success reached him in the sphere of song and music which made Kishore Kumar a singing legend.

His professional career was full of ups and downs and so was his personal life. He had married four beautiful damsels- Roma, Madhubala, Yogitabali and Leena Chandra Varkar and had two sons singer Amit Kumar & Sumeet.

The great singing Legend Kishore Kumar had sung more than 30,000 songs, played lead roles in 70 Films, produced 10 films and composed music in 8 films through out the 30 years of his professional career. He was a very rare, rather  the one and only incomparable personality, having equal talent in almost all the spheres of song, music, acting, producing, directing and composing.

Kishore Kumar was also a great performer on the stage and had performed on almost all the Internationally Famous Auditoriums. He was used to close his stage shows with his popular number “Kabhi Albida Na Kahena’. At last he gave ‘Albida to his family, to the film industry and to his uncountable fans on 13th October 1987 only at the age of 58. Even after 18 years of his death, Kishore Kumar is not at all forgotten, because he is the incomparable Kishore Kumar - the Unforgettable.
