YOU CAN WRITE YOUR DESTINY

Destiny! The very term connotes a very familiar meaning of fate, fortune or luck. Most people believe that a man does that, what is written in his destiny. But this notion is not absolutely correct. A man can change his destiny. Hence, a question arises in everyone’s mind, can one write his destiny? Most people think that it is beyond human endeavour. They are fully convinced that it is not possible. But there are some who believe that they can write their own destiny. To them writing destiny is feasible.

The fatalists only believe that present life is the result of the deeds done in the previous one. Hence, there is no escape from the present. But the pragmatists nurse the thought that destiny is not beyond human control. They challenge that destiny can be programmed. Fatalism is the doctrine of fools. The fatalists always look for the easy way out. They find shelter in readymade quotes without examining their real implications. Whenever they face the might of adversity, they cower and go under, blaming destiny.

To the pragmatists destiny is not fore-ordained or pre-determined. Man is the architect of his own destiny. Man is the master of his fate because he has the power to do anything. Man can programme his destiny and attract success as a magnet attracts iron filings. It is up to man to control and shape the forces that make his life. If one does not reach at his destination, it is because he did not take full control of his resources. The fault lies in him, not in his stars.

Hence, if you do not shoulder full responsibility, the world will shape your destiny. Do not rely on others to do your part and act for you. Your destiny is an individual thing and that it is upto you to take charge and shape it according to your capacity, need, aspiration and ideals. By hard work, courage and perseverance you can write your destiny. Only chicken-hearted people leave everything on their destiny, but those who are prepared to meet all eventualities with their will power, can write their destiny. History shows how Alexander’s strong will power made him a world conqueror, Michael Faraday’s determination made him a great scientist from a mere book-binder, Abraham Lincoln’s  untiring efforts made him the president of USA from a shop assistant.

So, if you will be dedicated, determined, sincere and will have a strong will power, things will be easier for you, sooner  or later, your destiny will be in your clutch. What is needed to write your destiny is the iron will–a will which like a rushing torrent goes on sweeping rocks, trees, and banks out of its way, and goes on making its over every impediment. Hence, don’t be misguided by the vague belief that man is a slave of destiny, a helpless creature guided by that blind fate.
