Dear Children,
Self-confidence is a great quality in life. It is most essential for all human beings in every walk of life. It is the true hallmark of a successful character. It makes life healthy, bright and prosperous. Columbus laid the road from Europe to America, Tensing Norgay and Edmund Hilary reached at the top of Mount Everest, Neil Armstrong set his foot on the moon; it was their self-confidence that led them to success. Hence, self-confidence is a precious asset. Life without it is like a ship without radar. People who lack self-confidence can find it difficult to become successful.
Bright Stars, self-confidence may be defined as that training of mind which increases one’s will power and makes him confident at his work. It, therefore, is a vital force in life. Particularly for you students it is most necessary as it provides you energy to study and makes you enthusiastic. Children having self-confidence enjoy their studies like playing their favourite games. They always remain ahead of others and secure good marks. On the other hand, children with little confidence or no confidence are always confused and do not do well. But it is not always easy to be confident. There may be pitfalls. Your level of self-confidence can be shown in many ways: in your behavior and body language, how you speak, what you say, and so on.
Nice Guys, the good news is that self-confidence really can be learned and built on. Self-confidence can be enhanced by many ways. You first convince yourselves that nothing is impossible in life as the man is God’s wisest creation. So, you can do any thing, if you try sincerely in right way and at right time. Do what you believe to be right, even if others mock or criticize you for it. Admit your mistakes, and learn from them. Work hard to cover up mistakes and hope that you can solve the problem before anyone notices. Always you think that you are the best and you can do the best. You can study well and can secure more marks than others if you try seriously and do hard labour. Don’t feel inferior. Inferiority complex is an obstacle on the way of development of self-confidence. Throw away jealousy. Jealousy is a serious disease and it diverts your attention and brings absurd thinking. Develop positive thinking. Realize the value of time and utilize each moment of your study hours in school as well as in home. Accept compliments graciously. Welcome criticism as it makes you more serious in your work. Pray the Almighty, you can get mental as well as physical courage. Prayer provides you energy and builds your confidence.
