BE GOOD AND THINK ABOUT OTHERS

Chaudhury Satya Das, Editor, Education & Awareness

You are the moulders and builders of the future of our beloved motherland. What our nation will be in future       depends largely on you. You have many special roles to perform as majority of Indians are ignorant and illiterate. You have to construct a new nation removing poverty, illiteracy and inequality. You have to exercise a strong and modernizing influence on our orthodox people. You, really, can reconcile diversities and work for national integration. Another great role you have to play is saving our Indian society from corruption, political pollution and terrorism. You, therefore, only can make our motherland proud by your great deeds.

Bright Stars, be fully conscious of your duties and responsibilities. Do nothing which may bring disgrace to you, your family and to our society or nation. Try your best to be good and ideal citizens. Be diligent, disciplined, punctual, obedient, sincere, loving, honest and charitable. Respect your elders, cultivate good manners and always speak the truth. Always think positively and throw away jealousy. Be fearless and bold enough to face the trials and challenges of life. Always be ready to help the needy.

Nice Guys, you are loved by one and all. You win over every body’s heart with your angelic eyes and innocent smiles.  Childhood is the formative period of a person’s life. The characteristics of a personality can be noticed right from his early childhood. The habits developed at this time cast a shadow throughout the life. Children’s Day is to celebrate “childhood”. In India this day is celebrated on 14th November, the date that marks the birth anniversary of independent India’s first Prime Minister- Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who was very fond of children. Quite naturally, he was the ‘beloved’ of all the children who gave him the endearing name of ‘Chacha Nehru’. As a tribute to Pt. Nehru and his genuine love for children, his birthday is celebrated all over India as ‘Children’s Day’. But the fact remains that only one section of the country’s children actually has an opportunity to celebrate their existence. There is an entire populace of young ones that are left ignored on this special day – the poor, downtrodden and the street children. Therefore, while celebrating it, you, the fortunate ones should think that there are others who are deprived of food, clothes and education. You can bring a difference into the lives of children who are unprivileged. Hence, do something special for the less fortunate children by donating your food, clothes, toys, stationery, books and your pocket-money.
