Dear Children,

Role Models are important because they increase your self-esteem, help you to build morals and positive values, teach you to set attainable goals, and provide direction in achieving your goals. Most significantly, role models provide examples for you to follow, showing you that your dreams and goals can be fulfilled. Role models can be a powerful force for learning and realizing your potential. They are not only vital for your career, but for achieving success in everything you do. Hence, you must have role models in every stage of your life. Researchers have concluded that children having good role models become perfect self-learners and achieve greater success in life.

Bright Stars, role models serve as an inspiration and encourage you to aim high. When someone asks you who your role model is, you  just come up with a famous name on the spur of the moment and give an answer that seems about right.  Hence, the importance of having a role model can never be underestimated. Having a role model helps you to focus on your goal. With your career goal already clear in your  mind, you will start taking steps to achieve your  goals. You will enroll in the relevant courses, study hard, and will strive to gain the appropriate work experience and land a great job.

Nice Guys,  with a role model you are  more likely to be inspired and driven to achieve your goals, than without one. Having a role model opens up your minds to greater hopes and all possibilities.  Without a role model, you may never dare to dream high. Many successes have been averted just because you didn’t think you could be so successful. But if you had a role model, you wouldn’t be quite unwilling to think big. Ask almost any successful person will have a role model who inspired him to reach the heights he has reached.

Friends, there will be times in your  life, when you, like a superhuman may get up and try to achieve your dreams. It is at these times that you need to be inspired by someone who went through the same struggles and hardships, and made it. Temporary setbacks are a part of life, and everyone goes through them. It is important that you do not lose hope and keep sight of the goal at the end. A role model  gives  you confidence that you can succeed, because it is likely that your role model also suffered setbacks and overcame them.
