A mood disorder is a condition whereby the prevailing emotional mood becomes unsuitable to the circumstances. The mood disorder is demonstrated in mood, interpersonal relationships, self-image, identity, and behaviour.

There was speculation that Churchill may have had Alzheimer’s disease, although others maintain that his reduced mental capacity was merely due to strokes.

The main reason of his entertaining faces is that when he was younger his mother was very sick in bed. Jim was making everything necessary to make his mother laugh like throwing himself down the stairs or doing the most ridiculous of faces. When he was younger he was many times depressed and mad with the world.
