Mind is the great lever of all things; human thought is the process by which human ends are ultimately answered. --------- Daniel Webster.
Close your eyes. Keep them close for a minute. Ask the question, who am I? I am intelligent or I am shy , I am clumsy or I am a slow person. These statements are simply creating self fulfilling prophecies. Asking is the world’s most powerful secret to success and happiness. It is a skill.
There is no set of definition of who are you. You are whoever or whatever you choose to be at that moment. The way you look, the way you act and the way you talk, are the three things that make your personality. The way you think is what controls your looks, actions and words. Start your day with the affirmation that I will be loving, peaceful, joyous, harmonious, prosperous and patient with myself and others. By this your subconscious will cooperate in helping you to create that reality. On the other hand if you wake up saying, I am tired, I hate myself, I never get things right, then your subconscious will also cooperate with what you are telling it. Make sure that you are affirming what you want to create not what you do not want.
If you are .......... lazy, impatient and slow don’t worry. These are simply like changes of clothing you put on. Just like change of your cloth, you can change your personality wear. I am enthusiastic today, felt otherwise yesterday, you are not any of these things. You are not angry, impatient, you are not afraid. You are simply choosing to experience these emotions.
We are great actors. We are free to play any role we choose. So, if the role you have been playing is not bringing you joy and happiness, look inside, ignite your inner fire and see what role would make your inner soul happy and make your heart sing.
Your attitude is your choice today. The winner’s edge is not in a gifted birth, a high I.Q or in talent. The winner’s edge is all in the attitude not aptitude. Your attitude is crucial because it determines how you act. Think of great leaders and you will be stuck by their attitude. Mahatma Gandhi for human rights, Winston Churchill for freedom, Martin Luther King (Junior) for equality, Bill Gates for technology. Weak attitude brings weak results, just as a small fire creates little heat. The stronger the fire, the greater is the attitude- the greater is the potential.
Abraham Lincoln’s attitude was always rich and right. He failed in business at the age of 21, defeated in a legislative election at the age of 22, lost his sweet heart at the age of 26, lost Congressional races at the age of 34 and 36, lost the Senatorial race at the age of 45 and 49 and finally became the President of America at the age of 52. All these events were stepping stones to a future that Lincoln dreamt of.
Take your pick. What do you want to be today or simply at this moment? Make your choices according to what will give your inner being the most joy and peace. Go fast. You are infinite. You are all knowing. Yes! That is what you are. Go within and discover the truth.
